I hope you dance

As I begin to wind down reading Paul Daugherty’s amazing book An Uncomplicated Life: A Father’s Memoir of His Exceptional Daughter, he mentioned a song that I’m familiar with called I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack.

So after I got home from having dinner with a good friend of mine whose son also has autism (and someone who I’ve had the good fortunate to talk with many times) I came home and started playing it over and over. I hope all my kids choose to dance.

Sincerely-
