Fore!

I just want to say thank you to TASK Sports! I took my son to his first golf class and he seemed to have a really good time. When he got in the car he said that he couldn’t wait for next week. For the father of a kid who says he doesn’t like to do things outside, it’s great to hear.

Yea!

Good story

These are the kind of stories that keep you going, especially when things get rough. The story is from my local paper, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and is entitled “School once meant isolation. Now, an autistic graduate is ‘The Mayor’ of Parkway West High” by Elisa Crouch.

Thank you for the good teachers at the Special School District of St. Louis County and the good people at Parkway West. They mean the world to us.

Sincerely-

Adulthood

So today I came across this article and while it’s not geared towards those with special abilities, I thought it might work in a way to give me a baseline towards what skills my son should have. Then maybe I can work backwards.

The article is entitled “What skills should everyone have by age 18? If you start off adult life unprepared, it will hold you back by Starre Vartan over at the Mother Nature Network. Just a little food for thought in the process.

Sincerely-
