Autism & driving

Besides guardianship, special needs trust, ABLE accounts, and a million other issues, driving is something that I’m really hoping one day that my son will be able to do. Reading this article by Holly Robinson Peete over at Huffington Post,  only adds to my hopes and fears but none the less, I will continue to march along.

The article is entitled “Autism And Police: My Plan To Protect My Driving-Age Son (And Yours)“. Here’s hoping that driving is one skill my son will master, along with all the other skills that go along with it.

Sincerely-

Taking a drive

While the senior pictures were a great memory, driving is a whole other adventure that I’m hoping we get the chance to take. While I’m unsure on the path to get there, this article gives me hope.

The article is entitled “Learning to Drive as Someone on the Autism Spectrum” by Erin Clemens over at The Mighty. Miracles do happen, I’m sure of that.
