Week 4

This sort of feels like a diary but I must confess, it’s a good feeling. Tonight was week four of golf and once again it was fun. It was fun watching my son get the chance to socialize with new friends. From a father’s perspective, it’s also nice to seem him get some exercise.

In honor of the 22nd anniversary of my dad’s passing, which is tomorrow, Happy Fathers Day Dad! I know he would be proud of both his grandson and me.

Week 2

Okay, I wasn’t planning to blog about my son’s golf lessons over at TASK Sports again but, he had fun. While I don’t have much to do except observe and enjoy, I must say it’s been money well spent.

In fact, I haven’t played since my dad died (he actually died while playing golf but, I know he was with friends). I think if my son continues with this, I might just play again. Dad would have loved to play with us. Miss you and love you dad.

On the green with autism

Golf has been one of my son’s favorite sports for quite some time. We even played a little one summer with a group from Special Olympics. Anyway, when I saw this article about a school for children with autism opened recently by pro golfer Ernie Els, I thought I have to post this.

The article is entitled “Ernie Els’ school for autistic children ‘a dream come true’” by over at Yahoo! it was a no brainer. Thank you Liezl, Ernie and Ben!
