Not two words I would have put together. This article, “Autism Didn’t Stop This Teen from Becoming Captain of his High School Football Team” by Amanda Scherker, is just another reason that we all have our niche in life and we just need to find it.
He is definitely a role model for anyone, not just those within the autism community.
I’ve always been someone who believes in supporting local businesses in your community and in this case, I’m referring to local business in the autism community. I recently received an donation e-mail from Autism Speaks and the hook in this case was the young man Joe Steffy, a man with autism.
Turns out he was here in St. Louis recently but I missed him. I hope he comes back because he sounds like a great guy. Meanwhile, you can read more about him on his website here.
