Last weekend

So last weekend I was feeling down. Since it was going to be my weekend with only my oldest and my youngest wasn’t feeling well, I thought it might be because of all that. Little did I know that it would end up being a pretty good weekend.

First, my oldest asked me to take him to our credit union to get cash out for his next week of work. Then, while I was getting gas, he went in to get a candy bar which would in turn allow him to break the bill he got for some smaller ones and change. He did it all by himself.

On top of all that, my youngest one started to feel better a little later. To make sure he stayed healthy, I also washed his bed sheets and towels the other day. I guess truth be told, it was a pretty good three or four days.

I think it would be safe to say I had a really good weekend with my oldest. In fact the highlight may have been been when he and I went over to a store called gamestop where they had a now hiring sign in the window. I suggested to him maybe he’d like to work here but, he said and it surprised me, “I’m content working at Lowes Automotive Warehouse“.

So this weekend, my oldest son, his Nana and I all went to see the movie American Underdog. While it seemed a little weird, it was also pretty nice. Who knew we would all want to see the same movie?

This weekend

So another weekend is coming up with just my oldest and while we’ve gotten a lot done this week, I think we’ll just try and relax a little this weekend. What that means exactly, I’m not sure but I guess we’ll see.
